About the Role
Skippers Aviation, a WA-based regional airline, is looking for a full-time Operations Officer to join our team. The role requires strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
An Operations Officer is responsible for processing charter enquiries. This includes (but is not limited to) arranging ground handling and refuelling at airports around the state and beyond, ordering suitable catering, booking crew accommodation and ground transport, and liaising with the client to ensure their needs are met at all times.
Another important aspect of the role is managing aircraft delays (due to weather, crew sickness and technical issues) as they happen, maintaining clear and professional communication channels with all stakeholders including large corporate mining companies. The role involves interaction (both verbal and written) with a wide variety of people including outport agents, engineers, pilots and cabin attendants, corporate mining clients, ad-hoc clients and customer service staff. Many other administrative functions are included, such as general filing, reconciliation of charter-related invoices, managing client catering orders and providing flight information to the public and our client base.
About You
- Deliver consistent, warm and friendly customer service at all times
- Ability to work within a diverse and fast-paced role, often managing multiple tasks at once
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Confidence and the ability to work autonomously and at times unsupervised
- Punctuality and initiative
- An enthusiastic, friendly and outgoing personality, well presented at all times
Previous aviation experience will be an advantage but is not essential, as training will be provided in all areas of the role.
