Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport is at the heart of the transformation across Western Sydney, becoming a 24/7 hub for international, domestic and cargo services. With the terminal and runway complete, WSI is working towards opening its world-class airport this year.

The Opportunity

This key role in the Parking and Ground Transport team is responsible for the leadership, administration and operational oversight of WSI's ground transport and car rental services. Reporting to the Executive Manager Parking & Ground Transport, the role ensures effective management of operations, customer service, technology platforms, contractor performance, revenue protection, compliance and safety outcomes. This is a two-year maximum term position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of ground transport and car rental services provided 24/7
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, standards and business continuity plans
  • Collaborate with the Airport Operations Control Centre and key stakeholders
  • Protect and optimise annual ground transport access and car rental revenues
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, permits and commercial agreements
  • Oversee authorised ground transport operators including taxis, rideshare, buses, limousines and scheduled transport
  • Manage parking and transport technology platforms (Designa, TNS, Park Agility, Neuvotek)
  • Lead management of customer enquiries, complaints and service recovery
  • Promote a strong safety culture across ground transport and car rental operations

Essential Requirements

  • Background in ground transport operations from a large organisation; airport experience highly regarded
  • Tertiary degree in Business or related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in fast-paced transport environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office
