About the Role

As passenger operations prepare to commence, we're looking for an exceptional Airport Manager to lead operations and help shape the future from day one. As Airport Manager, you'll lead our above and below wing operations at Western Sydney International Airport, overseeing ground handling services. This role is about more than just managing safe operations — it's about leading, coaching and mentoring people, building a high-performing team and leaving a lasting legacy at one of Australia's most significant aviation developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of Star Aviation's above and below wing operations
  • Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team while fostering a positive, values-driven culture
  • Champion a Safety-First mindset and ensure compliance with all operational and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver outstanding operational performance and exceptional service for airline partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with airline customers, airport stakeholders and service providers
  • Effectively manage workforce planning, operational resources, budgets and equipment
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and team capability through coaching and training

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience leading large operational teams
  • Strong people leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing others
  • A genuine commitment to Safety First
  • Experience managing complex, fast-paced 24/7 operations
  • Excellent stakeholder and customer relationship skills
  • The ability to lead change, drive performance and build a positive workplace culture

The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
