About The Role

As a Category Manager within our Strategic Procurement team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering commercial and operational value across our Services and Ground Fleet categories. Based in Brisbane, this role offers hybrid working arrangements and the opportunity to shape category strategy for a major national airline.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for Services and Ground Fleet spend areas.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including market analysis, tendering, negotiation and contracting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and deliver cost savings, risk mitigation and value creation opportunities.
• Manage supplier performance and contract compliance across the category.
• Provide category insights and reporting to support business decision-making.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in category management, strategic sourcing or procurement, ideally within aviation, transport or a related industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing services and/or fleet-related categories highly regarded.
