Our team works collaboratively with our customers to develop and deliver critical capabilities to support their missions. Boeing Defence Australia's MQ-28 Ghost Bat Program is developing and producing the world-leading MQ-28 Ghost Bat uncrewed Collaborative Combat Aircraft.

Within the program, Subcontracts provides commercial management support, including creating and awarding contracts, managing our supplier pipeline and warehousing support, and managing the supply chains that underpin the successful execution of the program.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Subcontracts Specialist to support the MQ-28 Subcontracts team. As part of a highly collaborative and motivated team, you will:

  • Be the focal point for your suppliers and program stakeholders, and provide guidance and advice to the program on all aspects of your suppliers' commercial, contractual and production capabilities.
  • Be responsible for leading supplier contracting activities, including developing and managing timely and high-quality supplier procurements, leading to contract administration/execution and order management.
  • Be a champion for your suppliers internally, and manage a close working relationship with your suppliers as an Authorised Procurement Agent for Boeing Defence Australia.
  • Alongside other Supplier Management professionals, support a structured risk management process including the development of mitigation plans in a proactive, solution-focused environment.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have a collaborative team approach, well developed analytical skills and excellent written and verbal skills. You must be someone who can work autonomously and who is comfortable challenging the status quo, with a focus on driving continuous improvement with your suppliers.

Essential Requirements

  • Formal qualifications in a related discipline (Law, Accounting, Business or Supply Chain Management).
  • At least 3 years' experience in procurement, contracting or contract management roles.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, contract management, and procurement throughout the full end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated skills in analysis of supply chain procurements.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management skills.
