About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Supply Support Lead to join the Air Combat and Electronic Attack (ACEA) Program team based at RAAF Amberley. Embedded within the Logistics Support Team, you will play a critical role in sustaining Defence's F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler capabilities. Your mission will be to ensure the delivery of supply support solutions that enhance operational readiness and contribute directly to Australia's air combat capability.

As Raytheon Australia's business continues to grow, this role provides leadership, expertise and direction across supply support activities within a high-performing integrated logistics support environment. The successful candidate will bring strong strategic thinking, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of supply support principles, with the ability to apply technical knowledge, influence stakeholders, solve complex challenges, and deliver practical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Asset Coordinators
  • Inventory management, including maintaining stock levels at locations and ensuring the integrity of material control
  • Analyse complex problems and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks/issues and ensure key stakeholder deliverables are met
  • Provide KPI reports from Inventory Management Systems to identify performance trends and implement remediation as appropriate
  • Review, revise and authorise procurement and repairs
  • Subject matter expert advice on freight handling and export/import operations coordination
  • Perform material management planning and scheduling
  • Review, revise and authorise risk-based transfer of stock to meet inventory optimisation levels
  • Address complex problems and mitigate risks and issues that would otherwise cause delays and significant expenditure of resources
  • Resolve non-conforming product
  • Plan and conduct supportability (end of service life / production) polling
  • Verify recommendations for procurement / repair from inventory management tools and analysis
  • Manage inventory locations to optimise inventory holdings, procurements and repairs
  • Manage repairable item activities including management and control of repairs and technical regulatory reports
  • Manage freight and distribution activities, including use of standard national and international freight agents and development of custom freight solutions
  • Contribute to performance management against key performance indicators and performance reporting
  • Perform fleet management including providing disposal recommendations

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation or Distribution, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years prior relevant experience
  • Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritising, coaching and process execution
  • Specialised knowledge of technical or operational practices within logistics, supply chain, transportation or distribution obtained through advanced education, combined with experience
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance as needed
  • Willingness to travel, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfil the requirements of the role
