About the Role
BDA is seeking an experienced Trade Control Integration Specialist to join the Air Combat Electronic Attack Support Contract (ACEA) Integration Team to support delivery of the program services for sustainment of the Royal Australian Air Force's F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler fleet. The ACEA program provides in-service support, sustainment and upgrades for electronic attack and self-protection systems that protect Australia's combat aircraft and aircrew, enhancing survivability in contested environments and supporting operational readiness. This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley with hybrid work options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in the management and application of complex ACEA programs trade control requirements, ensuring the program holds and maintains appropriate export authorisations to support delivery against contractual obligations
- Design and develop efficient workflows that support the systematic application of trade controls across all ACEA teams
- Partner with other areas of the business to maintain program compliance against the ever-changing international export landscape and ACEA capability needs
- Directly support the Integration Manager in preparing briefing documents, presentations and training packages outlining the program's export compliance position
- Work with all elements of the ACEA program and Global Trade Controls function to maintain the tempo and execution of F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler sustainment services
- Translate ongoing changes in the global trade control environment into actionable impacts on the ACEA Program, providing guidance and support to staff
- Engage and communicate with key stakeholders and senior leaders across the ACEA enterprise and Boeing Defence Australia
Essential Requirements
- Background in Project Management, Contracts or Defence, seeking to expand knowledge
- Ability to interpret complex policy and procedures, with an interest in ensuring accuracy in that interpretation of policy
- Strong and effective communicator and collaborator with a history of working in a team to achieve program desired outcomes
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
