About the Role
Toll Aviation are seeking an experienced Tooling Coordinator to join our Bankstown facility. The Tooling Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all tooling and associated aircraft ground support equipment is available for service, for a fleet of rotary wing aircraft operating at multiple bases across Australia. This will be achieved by coordinating all required scheduled inspections, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) through the application of documented company, OEM and CASA regulatory procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all tool orders, tool inventory, and supplier quotes
- Prepare and deliver requested tools promptly to support maintenance schedules and minimize downtime
- Investigate tool-related issues, assess operational impact, and implement corrective actions
- Manage tool procurement and tracking through the company's online system (Gannet), submit purchase orders, and maintain accurate records
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure equipment standards and manage inventory of on-hand spares and consumables
- Play a crucial role in supporting the airworthiness of aircraft and tooling components
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in tools management within an aircraft maintenance or similar technical environment
- Working knowledge of Part 145 regulations preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and perform basic shop mathematics accurately
- Minimum 18 years old and 3 years' experience in the aviation industry (or similar technical, regulated environment)
- Strong understanding of CASA regulations and industry standards for tooling and associated equipment highly desirable
