About the Job (Part-Time Opportunities Available)
As Ramp Crew, you will be at the heart of every aircraft turnaround — ensuring each flight operates safely, efficiently and on time. You will deliver ground handling services on behalf of Star Aviation’s customers, maintaining full compliance with safety regulations and service standards.
Your Work Will Include
- Managing aircraft movements, including marshalling, receipt and dispatch of aircraft (inclusive of pushback), placing chocks and cones, and operating aircraft doors and hatches
- Baggage and freight handling — loading aircraft in accordance with loading instructions, special handling of baggage, freight and mail, and handling live animals and dangerous goods when necessary
- Cabin cleaning and fleet presentation, including cleaning aircraft interiors, waste removal and linen changes
- Passenger assistance, including oversight of passenger movements and use of disabled passenger lifters (DPL)
- Operating ground support equipment such as aircraft stairs, container loaders, ground power units, water/lavatory service trucks and passenger vans
- Ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant policies and procedures, and proactively reporting hazards, near misses and events
About You
- Physically fit, a strong team player and able to stay calm in high-pressure situations
- Dependable, flexible and open to changing priorities
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ability to endure challenging working conditions, including physical work, inclement weather and variable shift starts and finishes
