About the Role
Swissport is seeking an Airline Cargo Handling Agent who embodies its core values of safety, security, passion, integrity, reliability, innovation and teamwork. Whether you have previous experience as a warehouse cargo agent or are new to the freight industry, Swissport provides all the training needed to succeed, handling incoming and outgoing cargo with meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to safety and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo, and safely handle and transport goods
- Conduct regular inspections of cargo for security and safety compliance
- Accurately document and process import and export information
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cargo operations
- Adhere to all Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Essential Requirements
- A valid state driver's licence, demonstrating safe driving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail to maintain accurate flight reporting and cargo tracing
- Ability to follow strict operating procedures and requirements
- Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English
- Capability to handle manual tasks and lift up to 32kg
- Ability to work irregular days/hours, including weekends, public holidays and outdoors in all weather
Desirable
- Preferred experience in forklift operations and processing of import/export information
