About the Role
Join a small team performing ramp operations at Rockhampton Airport, providing ground and passenger handling services to Virgin Australia and Skytrans seven days a week. Prior aviation experience is highly desirable but not essential — full training is provided, starting with basic functions and progressing to more complex procedures over time. This is an immediate start opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare flight documentation and freight manifests
- Assist passengers with special requirements to and from the aircraft
- Operate a wide range of powered and non-powered airport equipment
- Load and offload aircraft holds
- Marshal and dispatch aircraft
- Operate aeronautical radio systems
- Perform cabin cleaning
Essential Requirements
- Physically fit and able to safely perform manual handling
- Full, current state driving licence
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Proficient computer skills
- Able to pass drug, alcohol and audio tests
- Able to obtain an ASIC (requires a federal police background check)
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays, including Christmas
- Ability to work any shift between 5:00am and 11:00pm, with a minimum shift length of 4 hours
- Available for two weeks' paid full-time training
- Reliable transport to and from Rockhampton Airport
