About the Role
REX is seeking a Senior Base Engineer with B1.2 or B2 LAME qualifications to maintain the light aircraft fleet at the Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA) in Wagga Wagga. AAPA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regional Express Holdings and provides flight training to airline standards with a fleet of over 25 Piper & Cessna aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with engineering procedures and certification requirements
- Co-ordinate manpower, equipment, tooling, and Aeronautical Products for timely maintenance
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AAPA and Rex Group aircraft
- Monitor training and performance requirements for engineering staff
- Monitor, report on, and participate in WHS issues
- Investigate and resolve safety reports and audit findings
- Assist in management of AAPA fleet spares store
Essential Requirements
- CASA B1.2 licence (B1.1 or B2 with GA experience also suitable)
- Demonstrated ability to perform aircraft maintenance under minimal supervision
- Operational understanding of CAR 30 & PART 66/145 regulations
- General Aviation experience
- Sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance procedures
- Valid driver's licence and ability to hold ASIC and Airside Driving Licence
Preferred
- King-Air group & IAI Westwind 1124 experience or ratings
- Experience in airline or flight training school operations
- Cert 4 or Diploma in Aeroskills
