About the Role
We're seeking a passionate Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) with B1.2 or B2 qualifications to maintain our light aircraft fleet and components at the Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA). This is a full-time position based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
About AAPA
The Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regional Express Holdings Pty Ltd (Rex). AAPA provides the highest quality flight training to airline standards, with a fleet of over 25 Piper and Cessna aircraft, having successfully delivered the Rex Pilot Cadet Programme since 2007.
Position Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on AAPA and other Rex Group aircraft and components
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring integrity and robustness of aircraft to meet operational requirements
- Service and clean hangar, tools and ground equipment as required
- Assist in management of AAPA fleet spares store
- Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary
- Observe all standards and procedures within CASA regulations and individual aircraft systems maintenance
Essential Selection Criteria
- CASA B1.2 licence (B1.1 or B2 candidates with GA experience also suitable)
- Demonstrated ability to perform aircraft and component maintenance, modification and troubleshooting under minimal supervision
- Sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and documentation
- Working knowledge of WH&S procedures
- Valid driver's licence
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- High level of motivation with a team-focused work ethic
- Flexibility with working hours
- Ability to hold an ASIC and Airside Driving Licence
Preferred Selection Criteria
- B1.1 or B2 CASA licence including piston engine privileges
- General aviation experience
- Experience in airline or flight training school operations
- King Air group & IAI West-Wind 1124 experience or ratings
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Aeroskills
