About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Engine/Airframe – Rotary Wing to be part of our Aviation Command. The LAME is responsible for providing aircraft engine and airframe expertise and supervision within a professional, team-oriented, approved maintenance facility. All NSW Police Force Aviation Command maintenance operations are conducted in compliance with the appropriate aviation regulatory framework.
You'll be a member of the NSW Police Force Aviation Command, the primary law enforcement and search and rescue agency for the state of NSW.

Salary & Allowances
$107,132 – $137,177 per annum. In addition, the position occupant may be eligible to be paid a $20,000 Skills Shortage Allowance in accordance with "C2025-09 Skills Shortage Allowance Implementation Guidelines" for a 2-year period (subject to satisfying eligibility criteria).
Essential Criteria
- Broad understanding of the aviation regulatory environment relative to rotary wing aircraft maintenance
- Broad technical understanding of maintenance procedures (engine and airframe) of aircraft owned and operated by the Aviation Command
- CASA B1.3 category licence covering aircraft owned and operated by the Aviation Command (or as deemed appropriate by Commander Aviation Command)
- High level interpersonal skills appropriate to working within a small team environment
- Ability to work under pressure with limited resources and prioritise time
- Willingness to undertake further CASA-approved aircraft type training courses and examinations with a view to becoming licensed on aircraft types owned and operated by NSW Police Force Aviation Command
- Demonstrated capacity to implement required health and safety policies and safe work practices
