About the Role

Multiple opportunities are available for B1/B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to be based at the new Western Sydney International Airport (Badgerys Creek). These roles are set to commence later in 2026. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates holding the relevant CASA or EASA licences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, dismantle, inspect, test, and repair aircraft parts, engines, motors, electrical systems, frames, and equipment
  • Inspect and install electrical circuits, including removal and replacement of defective line replaceable modules and cabling
  • Perform troubleshooting, defect rectification, built-in test (BIT), and manual testing of aircraft systems using electronic and specialised test equipment
  • Rectify defects and perform routine pre-flight line maintenance checks and inspections for airline clients
  • Maintain records and documentation for all inspections, repairs, replacements, modifications, and maintenance performed
  • Respond to defects found during inspections and those recorded by flight crew in the aircraft technical log
  • Read engineering drawings and ensure repairs comply with manufacturer's instructions for the Type Certificate
  • Assist with spares inventory tracking and parts preparation

Essential Requirements

  • AQF Certificate IV in Aeroskills or trade certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer
  • Unrestricted CASA Licence Category B1 and/or B2 with type rating on at least one of: A320, A330, A350, A380, B737, B747, B777, or B787 (EASA licences also accepted)
  • Ability to obtain a Red ASIC and pass extensive security and background checks
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25% of time)
  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays
