About the Role

As we continue to grow and evolve our property portfolio across Queensland, we're seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Development Manager to lead the delivery of significant property development opportunities across our airport precincts and strategic landholdings. Reporting to the General Manager Property, Planning & Design, you will oversee property and development projects from concept through to delivery, while also managing elements of QAL's existing property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the planning and delivery of property development opportunities
  • Developing commercial, leasing and transaction strategies
  • Preparing development feasibilities, business cases and investment evaluations
  • Managing stakeholder engagement across government, community and industry
  • Supporting negotiations relating to leases, land sales and development agreements
  • Providing strategic advice and reporting to executive leadership and governance forums
  • Driving continuous improvement, innovation and high-performance outcomes across projects

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property Development or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in property development, property management or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience managing land and built-form development projects
  • Strong financial, feasibility and commercial analysis capability
  • Proven stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent project management skills across time, cost, scope, quality and risk

The successful candidate will be required to hold or obtain a Queensland Construction White Card, adhere to QAL's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan, and have the ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
