About Archerfield Airport
Archerfield Airport is located 11km south of the Brisbane CBD and operates as Queensland's largest General Aviation hub and Brisbane's metropolitan airport. Archerfield Airport Corporation (AAC) is modernising the airport through airside and landside civil infrastructure, hangar developments and other commercial and industrial buildings, having recently completed the Airside Infrastructure Modernisation project.
The Opportunity
AAC is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, initially offered as a 12-month contract with potential for extension. You will manage a diverse portfolio of civil projects from infrastructure upgrades through to aviation facilities and industrial developments, overseeing projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design and delivery of civil engineering projects
- Oversee construction activities, safety, environmental compliance and service authority coordination
- Manage end-to-end contract administration including tendering, negotiation and variations
- Act as Superintendent when required, conducting QA inspections and hold-point checks
- Provide stakeholder communication through client updates, regulatory liaison and Board/Director reporting
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure or land development projects
- Demonstrated contract administration and superintendent experience
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6
Desirable
- Experience in airport operations or aviation infrastructure delivery
- Understanding of Airport Building, CASA and Airservices Australia regulatory requirements
