About the Role

Microflite Aviation is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Centre Manager to lead the performance, capability and continuous improvement of our Operations Centre, based at Moorabbin Airport. Reporting to the Flight Operations Manager, you will lead a team of Operations Controllers and Administration support staff, ensuring the Operations Centre delivers safe, efficient and responsive operational support across the business. You will be responsible for team performance, process improvement, operational governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach and develop the Operations Centre team to maintain a high-performing, customer-focused culture
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and workforce development
  • Oversee rostering, workforce planning and resource allocation to ensure operational readiness
  • Monitor team performance, utilisation, workload and operational effectiveness
  • Ensure effective flight following oversight, operational coordination, scheduling support and communication across the business
  • Maintain operational standards in accordance with company procedures, approved frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Monitor operational reporting, compliance records and key performance indicators
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders and provide leadership and governance

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing operational teams
  • Experience within aviation operations, operational control, logistics, emergency services or a similar environment highly regarded
  • Strong workforce planning, rostering and resource management capability
  • Proven ability to coordinate competing priorities, manage operational disruptions and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • High-level organisational, reporting and administrative skills
  • Proficiency with operational management systems and Microsoft Office applications
