About the Role

The Medical Equipment and Resources Lead is responsible for statewide oversight of LifeFlight's medical equipment and leading a team of Equipment Officers. You will ensure critical clinical assets are safe, operational, compliant, and fit for purpose, utilising a digital equipment tracking and operational management system to support proactive asset management, equipment visibility, and operational readiness.

This is a part-time position, 2 days per week, based at Brisbane Airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Statewide oversight of LifeFlight's medical equipment inventory
  • Lead and manage a team of Equipment Officers
  • Lead equipment maintenance, procurement, innovation, and safety initiatives
  • Support medication and blood product governance across Queensland
  • Manage digital equipment tracking and operational management systems
  • Work closely with clinical teams to ensure operational readiness

About You

  • Clinically experienced healthcare professional with current AHPRA registration
  • Strong understanding of medical equipment, medication safety, and clinical operations
  • Highly organised and technology-savvy with experience managing equipment, inventory, or asset tracking systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Committed to maintaining safe, compliant, and operationally ready equipment
  • Experience in aeromedical retrieval, staff leadership, and electronic asset management systems highly regarded
  • Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or unrestricted work rights in Australia
