About the Role

The Aviation Support Manager leads the Aviation Support Unit, ensuring effective delivery of aviation support services across all Microflite operations. The role provides leadership, workforce planning, operational oversight, and resource management for Aviation Support Officers (Cadets) and the Refuelling Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Aviation Support Officers (Cadets) and the Refuelling Coordinator — including performance management, mentoring, and operational support
  • Oversee rostering, workforce planning, and leave management across the Aviation Support Unit
  • Ensure aviation support services are effectively delivered across all Microflite locations and remote operations
  • Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation activities for operational deployments
  • Lead lifecycle planning and management of aviation support equipment
  • Provide oversight to the Refuelling Coordinator, ensuring fuel infrastructure remains compliant and operationally ready
  • Lead the Aviation Support Officer (Cadet) Program including development planning and progression monitoring
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with airport operators, fuel suppliers, and contractors

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading operational, logistics, aviation support, transport, emergency services, or ground operations teams
  • Proven experience in workforce planning, rostering, and resource management
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed or remote teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
