The Role
As Drop Zone Manager - Cairns, you will be accountable for the end to end performance of one of our premier skydiving locations, overseeing its people, operations, customer experience, and financial outcomes. You will lead a high performing team, ensuring the smooth and safe running of daily operations while driving strong commercial and customer results. Working closely with the Chief Instructor and support teams, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining operational excellence and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strong site performance, including revenue growth, profitability, cost control, and labour efficiency
- Lead a high performing team that operates with accountability, consistency, and pride in delivery
- Ensure a consistently high standard of customer experience that supports repeat business and reputation growth
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and well executed operation at all times
- Make timely and effective operational decisions in a fast paced, safety critical environment
- Identify and implement practical improvements that enhance efficiency and commercial performance
- Build strong local relationships that support awareness, bookings, and community engagement
- Develop capability across the team through ongoing coaching and support
Essential Requirements
- Formal qualification in Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline
- Proven leadership experience in a fast paced operational environment
- Strong commercial capability with an understanding of revenue drivers, cost control, and labour management
- Experience managing rosters, workforce planning, and operational teams
- Sound judgement and confidence making decisions under pressure
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational discipline

- Experience in tourism, aviation, hospitality, or other high volume environments
