About the Role
dnata Catering & Retail Australia has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Manager, People & Culture Operations to support its operational portfolio across Queensland and Western Australia. This is a hands-on, commercially focused leadership role for an experienced People & Culture professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex operational environment. You will partner closely with the Operations General Manager and site-based leaders to deliver practical people solutions that strengthen workforce performance, leadership capability, employee experience and business outcomes, reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Operations General Manager and site leadership teams to identify people priorities and deliver agreed actions.
- Translate the People Strategy into practical local people plans, initiatives and measurable outcomes.
- Use people data, workforce metrics and case insights to identify risks, target action and improve workforce, culture and operational outcomes.
- Provide clear and practical advice on employment legislation, industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, awards, company policy and people processes.
- Lead and develop a geographically dispersed P&C team, fostering a high-performing, consistent and customer-focused service model.
- Drive workforce planning, leadership capability, change initiatives and employee experience improvements across the portfolio.
Essential Requirements
- Experience partnering with senior leaders at a strategic level, while balancing the delivery of operational priorities.
- Experience leading a geographically dispersed P&C team and partnering with site-based operational leaders in a complex, fast-paced and high-volume environment.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams across diverse or geographically dispersed workforces.
- Strong ER/IR capability and sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation.
- Experience coaching leaders through performance, conduct and workplace relations matters.
- Self-motivated, highly organised and able to balance competing priorities across multiple sites and stakeholders.
- Confident using HR systems, workforce reporting and people data to support practical decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
