Combined, the group operates more than 60 aircraft, from small singles to twin turboprop and jet aircraft, with its own Part 145 maintenance providers.

About the Role

Chartair has an exciting opportunity for an Operations & Charter Co-ordinator to join the team in Alice Springs. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a full-time ground-based role — pilots need not apply. You will play an important role in growing operations through a proactive, can-do approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to client charter and airline flight enquiries and provide quotations in a timely, courteous manner
  • Assist with check-in and ground handling services for Chartair flights
  • FBO / meet & greet services for outbound and inbound charter flights
  • Co-ordinate flight operations ensuring optimum use of aircraft and aircrew, managing rosters in accordance with CASA flight and duty time regulations
  • Monitor aircraft hours and plan maintenance schedules in conjunction with the CAM and Chief Engineer
  • Maintain charter, passenger bookings, aircraft planning, and maintenance records in TakeFlite
  • Ensure accurate records of all flights, including preparation of aircraft flight logs for invoicing and financial reporting
  • Issue invoices as required from TakeFlite
  • Be part of an on-call 24/7 roster, answering the on-call phone and converting new charter enquiries
  • Assist in preparation of documents and reports to management and third parties

Essential Requirements

  • Positive can-do attitude focused on solutions and customer experience
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • High capability in computer programs and IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to hold an ASIC
  • Willingness to undergo medical check, drug and alcohol test, police check, and WWCC

Desirable

  • Previous experience in aviation operations, fleet management, or maintenance planning
  • Knowledge of the TakeFlite platform
