About the Role

We're seeking a Planning and Scheduling Coordinator to manage the day-to-day scheduling and administration of practical training for the Qantas Engineering Academy (QEA). This role is essential to ensuring apprentice training schedules, facilities, instructors, equipment and shared training resources are coordinated effectively to support high-quality program delivery.

Working closely with the QEA Practical Training Manager, Planning and Scheduling Manager and other key stakeholders, you will coordinate and maintain practical training schedules, manage resource allocations and address scheduling conflicts. You will also track student and cohort progress, identify students who may be at risk and deliver accurate reports to support operational and executive decision-making.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a high demand scheduling or project coordination role, with prior exposure to the education or aviation sectors considered highly desirable
  • Experience utilising records and document management systems, particularly scheduling focused
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including advanced expertise in Excel for resource logistics planning and scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet agreed deadlines
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
