Airservices Australia is a government-owned organisation responsible for the safe and efficient management of 11% of the world's airspace and provision of aviation rescue fire fighting services at Australia's busiest airports.
The Role and the Team
The Integrated Air Traffic Management Technology Suite (I-ATS) Program is one of the most significant technology initiatives currently underway within Airservices, replacing critical air traffic management technology across Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth. As the Technical Training Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our workforce is prepared for the successful implementation of this next-generation technology.
Working closely with technical experts, operational teams and program stakeholders, you will lead the design, development and implementation of competency-based technical training solutions, conduct training needs analyses, develop learning and assessment materials, coordinate training delivery activities and ensure technical training programs meet regulatory and operational requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum five years' recent experience in training delivery within the aviation industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR), particularly Part 171.
- Experience developing and delivering competency-based training and assessment solutions.
- Experience undertaking Training Needs Analyses and developing structured learning programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification.
- A relevant Diploma qualification (or higher) and demonstrated experience within technology, engineering or a related technical discipline.
Travel & Security Clearance
Domestic travel may be required to Brisbane, Sydney and Perth to support training activities. Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Baseline Security Clearance, complete an Airservices Background Check and obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
