About the Role
As Manager Safety Systems, you will play a lead role in the day-to-day management of the safety systems for APAC. You will work closely with Senior Safety Advisors, the Head of QHSE, and the QHSE Administrator to drive safety and standards with improved systems and processes, with an emphasis on managing and reducing risk to improve safety and security. The Manager Safety Systems will also support the safe and secure operation of the business, leading the way in safety planning, administration, reporting and safety culture. Ability to travel both interstate and internationally is required, along with the ability to work variable hours from time to time.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in a workplace safety management role, or similar profession
- Direct aviation ground operations experience, or experience in a safety role or similar
- Strong people leadership ability - drive collaboration and success within your team
- Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand aviation regulations, and airport, cargo or airline operational policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of Australia and New Zealand WH&S legislation
- Contractor Management engagement experience
- High level utilisation of the Microsoft Office suite
- Safety or aviation diploma or above
- Lead Auditor training or Quality Auditor qualification
- Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent qualification
- Incident investigation and Risk Management qualifications
- Working knowledge with ISO
