About the Role
Skytrans Australia is seeking one full-time B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) for the Cairns base. A Dash 8 type rating course is planned for September and training will be provided for the right candidate.
Roster: 5 days on / 4 days off / 4 days on / 4 days off. Shifts are 10.5 hours — morning shifts from 5:30AM, late shifts from 2:00PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure maintenance of Skytrans Australia aircraft is completed and certified in accordance with regulatory, manufacturer, and Part 145 MOE requirements
- Ensure ongoing serviceability and presentation of company aircraft on a daily basis
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Research requirements for upcoming maintenance and ensure availability of parts
- Testing of equipment and tooling
- Rectification of defects away from base
- Contribute to the safety and quality management system
- Complete primary line maintenance activities
- Travel to other bases as required
Essential Requirements
- Valid CASA B2 Licence
- Full manual driver's licence
- Ability to obtain an ASIC
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance procedures
- High level of attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and unsupervised
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
Desirable
- Dash 8 experience (type rating training will be provided if required)
