Your Opportunity
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing a broad range of heavy and line maintenance activities on aircraft maintained by Jet Aviation, whilst ensuring safe work practices. Annual Salary: AUD $70,000–$85,000 plus Super plus OT.
Your Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at the general direction of LAMEs or other authorised delegates
- Ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is carried out in accordance with OEM and other approved publications using approved parts from approved sources
- Ensure compliance with all ADs, SBs, etc. prior to expiry of compliance dates
- Assist with inspection, maintenance coordination and certification
- Ensure all entries and certifications for work undertaken are completed and certified
- Ensure all data, release notes and certificates of conformance for components accompany the respective work sheet/work package
- Actively participate in Quality and Safety Management System applications
- Perform heavy and line base maintenance on various types of aircraft in line with budgets and scheduling
- Perform component sanding and spray-painting; component part removal and maintenance
- Carry out aircraft washing and associated corrosion control inspections
- Carry out aircraft towing, repositioning, refuelling and marshalling
- Assist with defect analysis and investigations
- Ensure FOD control, OH&S/WHS, tool control, and GSE serviceability requirements are adhered to
- Work with the Quality and Aviation Safety Manager on Quality and Safety responsibilities including participation in audits and technical investigations
- Contribute to shift handover, daily planner updates, and hangar housekeeping in line with the 5S Program
- Report observations for continuous improvement, safety management and customer satisfaction
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Certificate IV in Aeroskills
- Ability to perform various types of aircraft maintenance
- Experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility
- Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory and safety requirements
- Computer literate in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work flexible schedules and in various weather conditions
- Current legal right to work in Australia
