Position Overview

Our 24/7, 365-day Operations Control Centre is the heartbeat of our operation. Reporting to the Manager, Operations Control Centre, our Operations Coordinators provide key planning and day-of-operations support and coordination. As a focal point of the operation, they work closely with our crews, engineers, head office team and third-party suppliers to efficiently and safely deliver services to our valued clients. This is a shift work position including weekends and public holidays, based at our Melbourne Airport office with on-site parking.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Create and coordinate aircraft schedules, including assignment of appropriate aircraft
  • Create and coordinate compliant crew control plans in accordance with CAO obligations and company manuals
  • Manage crew currencies and endorsements
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports
  • Arrange crew accommodation and positioning flights
  • Coordinate ground handling, catering and fuel requirements
  • Coordinate overflight permits, airport slot and ATFM approvals
  • Assist flight crews in flight planning and EDTO monitoring

Qualifications and Experience

  • Aviation Management graduate or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with specialised aviation aircraft and crew management software, and the allocation of aircraft and scheduling of crew
  • Sound understanding of flight planning principles, flight and duty time limitations, weather, NOTAMs, international trip planning and ground handling
  • Effective interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven problem solving and planning skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Professional, friendly and customer focused
  • Ability to fully participate in a 24/7 team roster, including early mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays
