The Opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager Eastern Australia, the Melbourne Into-Plane Manager leads day-to-day operations of the Melbourne Into-Plane business, ensuring aircraft are refuelled safely and efficiently, with a highly visible, hands-on presence on the apron.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a high-performing Into-Plane team operating 24/7
- Champion a positive Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) culture
- Coach, mentor and develop supervisors and operational employees
- Manage operational performance, workforce planning and resource allocation
- Build relationships with airline customers, airport stakeholders and service partners
- Lead incident investigations, audits and regulatory inspections
Essential Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in aviation, logistics, transport, fuel operations or another safety-critical environment
- Previous leadership experience in airport apron operations or ground handling highly desirable
- Outstanding people leadership skills; experience coaching and developing frontline leaders
