About the Role

The Senior Project Manager/Project Manager is responsible for the planning and successful delivery of air traffic control, air defence and/or critical infrastructure projects to customers in Australia, New Zealand and the broader Asia-Pacific region. This involves leading project teams, managing suppliers and subcontractors, collaborating cross-functionally, communicating with stakeholders, and mitigating risks.

Your Tasks

  • Manage all project activities and risks to ensure achievement of project objectives and milestones
  • Lead the project team including engineers, technicians and project support staff to create revenue through managing and coordinating projects to time, cost and quality (TCQ)
  • Conduct regular project performance reviews to ensure the project is on track
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service and other functions to generate value for customers
  • Develop and continually improve stakeholder relationships including internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Drive results by showing initiative and achieving results reliably, with broad perspective, pragmatism and persistence
  • Develop costings, proposals and plans for Contract Change Proposals (CCPs)
  • Provide project management inputs including formulating delivery strategies for bids and tenders
  • Collaboratively work with customers to deliver value in support of their key objectives and organisational needs
  • Promote continuous improvement in project delivery

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering, or similar
  • Recognition as a Project Management Practitioner
  • Delivered projects with a value greater than $10M within the Aviation/Aerospace (or similar) industry
  • Experience leading project teams comprising 10 or more staff
  • Skills across project organisation management, project planning, monitoring and control, risk management, IP management, contract management (including change management), subcontractor management, project reporting, financial management, issue management and configuration management
  • Compliance with corporate processes and procedures
  • Experience managing bids and developing project delivery strategies
