Qantas Loyalty is an innovative data-led business that drives customer, partner and employee loyalty through our Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards programs, rewarding over 12 million members with Qantas points across a range of categories. The Manager, Technology Enablement (Technical Business Analyst) is a critical business partner aligned to Qantas Loyalty Tribes and/or Squads to co-create technology solutions to address unmet member needs, uncovering true business needs and defining technical requirements and solutions. The role also acts as a conduit between the Qantas Loyalty Tribes and the broader Technology Enablement Functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct system analysis by reviewing system and enterprise architecture to assess technical behaviours, structures, and essential features
  • Document business requirements, workflows, technical rules, user stories, and acceptance criteria with input from teams and subject matter experts
  • Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies to support software development and product processes
  • Serve as a liaison to facilitate effective communication across technical, business, and delivery teams
  • Support task decomposition and assist in estimating workload for project planning
  • Continuously assess and identify potential opportunities, constraints, risks, and issues impacting projects and operations
  • Identify and support initiatives for cost reduction and service simplification within the IT domain
  • Investigate, analyse, and report on defects to aid in solution refinement and quality assurance

You'll Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Significant experience working within an Agile Scrum environment
  • Proficiency with tools such as Swagger, Postman, JIRA, and Confluence preferred
  • Passion for emergent tech, AI and Innovation
