About the Role

As the Cabin Crew Base Manager, you will lead the Perth Cabin Crew base, oversee day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with safety, service and performance standards. Managing a team of On-Board and Crew Experience Managers, you will oversee a large, complex frontline workforce and drive performance across a 24/7 operational environment.

This is a highly autonomous leadership role requiring strong operational judgement, adaptability and a hands-on approach. Leading a team of leaders, you'll be empowered to make decisions, respond to evolving operational demands and flex across changing business priorities. You'll balance competing priorities including safety, on-time performance, customer experience and crew engagement outcomes, while providing visible leadership and support to your teams. Flexibility is essential, including participation in an on-call leadership roster to support business needs when required.

This role plays a key part in driving crew engagement, operational excellence and customer outcomes. You will be accountable for implementing business plans that support transformation and cost initiatives, managing base budgets, and optimising crew productivity and resource utilisation. Working closely with airport teams and cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure seamless operational delivery while maintaining strong industrial relations, engaging with unions and ensuring compliance across all safety, regulatory and enterprise requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive people leadership experience, including leading leaders and large frontline teams within aviation or similarly complex operational environments
  • Experience balancing operational performance metrics, customer outcomes and employee engagement in a high-volume environment
  • A sound understanding of industrial relations, including experience working within unionised environments
  • The ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Resilience, adaptability and a hands-on approach, with the ability to flex across changing priorities and operational demands
  • Sound business acumen with a strategic mindset and focus on delivering results
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
  • A commitment to fostering a culture of safety, service excellence, continuous improvement and accountability
