Pilatus Aircraft Australia is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swiss-based Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. and serves as the primary gateway for Pilatus aircraft in Australia and the surrounding region. Providing localised sales, support and training services that align with the organisation’s global mission to deliver innovative, high-quality aircraft with world-class customer care, Pilatus Aircraft Australia offers end-to-end services across Business and Government Aviation sectors. In the business aviation sector this includes marketing, sales, delivery, support, maintenance and flight operations for their valuable PC-12 and PC-24 customers, including the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Reporting to the CEO, the VP Business Aviation is a newly created role now available to a highly experienced and qualified aviation expert who will bring not only business aviation expertise, but also the ability to collaborate and contribute with a whole-of-business mindset as a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT).
Responsible for executing the strategic vision and identifying and pursuing growth opportunities for Pilatus Aircraft Australia’s Business Aviation division, the role ensures the day-to-day operational leadership, direction and performance of a multi-disciplinary workforce, brokers and maintains high-value customer relationships with private operators, and actively embodies the Pilatus brand with professionalism and integrity, representing the company as a spokesperson at industry events and conferences.
This role demands an experienced, dynamic and truly influential leader with deep aviation industry experience and knowledge of the Australian Business Aviation environment including aircraft preferences, customer bases and key uses. Strong analytical, organisational and strategic planning capabilities, complemented by exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to foster outstanding internal and external customer relations are paramount. Success will be further complemented by exemplary and visionary leadership, commitment to excellence in customer service, and a proven track-record in creating and executing effective business unit strategies and driving growth. Strong analytical, organisational and strategic planning capabilities are also essential, along with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities and results-driven mindset.
