The Opportunity
As Chief Engineer based in Caloundra, you will lead Omni's Rotary Wing Maintenance Team, ensuring the AMO complies with CASA regulations and the AMO's exposition, overseeing external customer aircraft support and maintenance delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a motivated, high-quality aviation maintenance team
- Oversee safety, quality, compliance and delivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, refurbishment and AOG defect rectification
- Report to the General Manager, ensuring maintenance is planned, resourced and delivered in line with CASA and Part 145 standards
- Support and develop people; step in to support priorities, issues or technical decisions
Essential Requirements
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer qualification or relevant type-specific qualification
- 5+ years' significant aircraft engineering or aviation maintenance experience
- Strong working knowledge of CASA requirements and regulatory compliance
- Experience leading, mentoring or supervising technical teams
- Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance
Desirable
- Type experience across Bell 206, AS350, H130 or BK117 platforms
- Engine experience across Arriel, Rolls Royce C20/30 or LTS101 series engines
