About the Role

Bell Textron Australia is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join its Redcliffe QLD team as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity working a 38hr week over 4 days, Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and National Aviation Authority (NAA) Regulations
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with the relevant and current Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA)
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance their overall experience
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with the Quality & Safety Team to ensure aviation quality, safety, and compliance with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Assign and supervise tasks for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) allocated to the job and monitor their progress and paperwork
  • Focus on safe execution of maintenance activities, while maximising aircraft availability and ensuring a safe workspace for all employees and visitors to maintenance and engineering facilities
  • Some travel may be required

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in aircraft maintenance and modifications
  • Experienced and hold qualifications on light and medium Bell, Airbus and Leonardo model Helicopters
  • Must hold a current CASA B2 licence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with workshop managers and other staff in a busy environment with strict deadlines
  • An understanding of CASA regulations and compliance requirements
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to outstanding customer service
  • The ability to work independently
  • Good computer literacy and experience working with aircraft maintenance programs
  • The right to live and work in Australia without restriction, and the ability to obtain and maintain aviation and other government security clearances that may be required
  • Meet the requirements of the Company Pre-employment drug and alcohol policy
  • Provide a current National Police Check

Desirable

  • Type Ratings: Bell 212/412, AW139 highly desirable
  • Experience in installations and modifications highly desirable
  • Competency in the use of computer-aided design programs well regarded
