About Ocius
Ocius Technology is an Australian company developing and deploying cutting-edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our Bluebottle vessels harness wind, solar and wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and civilian applications. Operating under contracts with the RAN, RNZN and USA.
The Role
Ground Control Operators (GCOs) are the key to Ocius. The GCO team operate our fleet of Bluebottle USVs whilst on mission, ensuring safe and efficient navigation and high-quality payload data collection.
A typical shift may include
- Ensuring safe navigation to, from, and within the operating area
- Operating the Bluebottle's sensor payload and reporting on all events
- Providing constant mission feedback to Operations and Engineering
Selection Criteria
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to rapidly learn and operate multiple digital systems simultaneously
- Experience making decisions based on operational data, information or intelligence
- Mariner experience gained through professional or strong personal experience
- Proven experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a professional setting
- Ongoing availability to work on a 24x7 roster
