About the Role
Horizon Airways is seeking an air transport pilot to support operations at Horn Island in the Torres Strait, flying a company Cessna 206 under day VFR. The successful applicant will also be required to operate from the company's satellite bases as business needs dictate.
Essential Requirements
- Commercial Pilot Licence
- Minimum 250 hours flight time (simulator/FSTD hours not counted)
- Experience operating aircraft with analogue flight instrumentation
- Ability to work remotely and unsupervised under standard operating procedures
- Manual driver's licence
Desirable
- 400 hours flight time, including 100 hours multi-engine
- Experience on Garmin G1000 avionics
- Experience on Cessna 172/206, Piper PA31/PA34 or Tecnam P2012
- Flight instructor rating (Grade 1-3, DFE, NVFR, MEA or IR endorsements)
- Night VFR rating, multi-engine instrument rating, remote area experience
- Ability to conduct Schedule 8 maintenance
