Founded in 2017, Altocap Flight School was built with a mission to offer top-tier aviation training in Australia.Located in Sydney, Altocap Flight School is dedicated to providing high-quality, structured aviation training. Our programs cater to a wide range of aspirations, from trial introductory flights and recreational flying lessons to earning a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Flight Instructor Rating (FIR).Our team brings decades of experience across the aviation industry, with backgrounds in flying clubs, commercial operations, and advanced training. Each instructor shares a passion for flying and is committed to helping students succeed, whether you’re pursuing a career in aviation or simply learning to fly for enjoyment. Peace Aviation provides an excellent aviation service throughout Central Queensland. Our motto is service first, safety always. ​Peace Aviation is primarily a flying school offering training in General Aviation for the Recreational, Private and Commercial Pilot’s Licences. We have multiple flight instructors that can conduct a wide variety of advanced training options such as Multi-Engine training, Instrument Ratings and Flight Reviews. ​We also offer flight training through RAAus in ultralight aircraft for those looking for a cheaper alternative for flying privately. ​The Peace Aviation Flying School has experienced instructors, the highest safety standards, flexible training options, and a selection of aircraft to choose from. ​Peace Aviation also offers Air Charter in a variety of aircraft flying throughout Central Queensland. Air charter can be faster, more convenient and less expensive than scheduled air travel, particularly when a group of passengers are travelling to remote places or when multiple stops are required.

FAST Aviation was established in 2016 in response to local and regional demand for professional aircraft charter and advanced pilot training. We have grown steadily and safely from a single Beechcraft Baron aircraft and one owner pilot/instructor, to four company-owned Beechcraft Barons (plus a Cessna 172!) and six full time pilots/instructors. We are fortunate to be able to attract quality and committed staff who have experience in many aspects of commercial aviation, from entry level general aviation to wide-body airline training & checking. Our pilots/flight instructors have collectively logged over 45,000 hours of flight time between them. We hold an Air Operators Certificate from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for Part 135 air transport operations (previously known as charter operations), as well as a Part 141 Certificate for flight training. The company is proudly Northern Rivers based and locally owned.

POLAR AVIATION (1981 - 2024) Polar Aviation began in 1981 when Clark Butson recognised a clear need in the Pilbara. Remote communities were being left behind - cut off by distance and lacking reliable transport options. Clark believed they deserved better: dependable access to essential services, safe travel, and the same opportunities as those in major cities. From its earliest flights, Polar was more than just a charter service. It became a vital connection - moving students, supporting mining operations, delivering freight, and even responding to emergencies. Operating its own turbine aircraft, building hangars in key locations, and investing in in-house training and navigation systems, Polar built a reputation for doing things properly and showing up where others wouldn’t. Key operations during this time: FIFO flights and critical supply runs for the mining industry Student and passenger charter services to remote communities Flight training for both recreational and commercial pilots Search and Rescue operations across Western Australia Aerial tours showcasing the Pilbara’s landscape Maintenance services for turbine and piston aircraft Full compliance with CAR 217 and proprietary navigation development POLAR AVIATION (2025 - Present) Now based on Australia’s East Coast, Polar Aviation continues to grow, but its commitment remains unchanged. Garden City Helicopters was established 1983 by John Currie flying from New Brighton Beach, Christchurch City. When the company first started, John was mainly flying scenic tourism flights. As the only helicopter company operating in Christchurch at the time, John was often called on to help emergency services, so the Rescue Helicopter operation became a necessity for the community and started serving the community in 1985. In 1995 following the Cave Creek disaster John introduced the NZ Flying Doctor Service to transport critically ill patients to base hospitals around the country. The expansion of tourism opportunities in Christchurch increased the demand for scenic flights, and the formalisation of a dedicated and expanded 24-hour air rescue operation resulted in a 2018 relocation to a purpose-built base adjacent to Christchurch International Airport. Garden City Helicopters is still widely recognised as one of New Zealand’s premier helicopter operators, servicing all aspects of tourism and charter flights, air ambulance and rescue operations, commercial flying and pilot training. The addition of an executive Jet Centre and the acquisition of a private charter business jet required a new brand for the group of companies so and GCH Aviation Group brand became our new brand. In addition to the Christchurch headquarters, the GCH Aviation Group has helicopter bases in Kaikoura, Greymouth, Nelson, Wellington, and Fiji.
