Queensland Government Air (QGAir) forms part of the Queensland Police Service Aviation Capability Group, providing rotary and fixed wing government aviation services in support of the QPS and partner agencies.
About the Role
QGAir is seeking experienced helicopter pilots to join its dynamic rotary wing team in Cairns, flying single-pilot IFR in multi-engine AW139 helicopters within a multi-crew environment conducting emergency medical, search and rescue and counter-disaster operations.
Essential Requirements
- Current Australian CPL (Helicopter)
- Completion of ATPL subjects (Helicopter)
- Low Level Rating
- Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating – 3 renewals
- Minimum 2,500 hours total time
- Minimum 1,500 hours PIC helicopter
- Minimum 200 hours night PIC helicopter
- Minimum 500 hours multi-engine PIC helicopter
- Minimum 1,200 hours turbine helicopter
- ASIC (held or eligible to hold)
- Current Class 1 Aviation Medical
Desirable
- Current Australian ATPL
- NVIS rating with 100+ hours NVIS operations
- AW139 type rating
- Current Australian passport
