The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) operates a fleet of 25 aircraft, including Beechcraft King Air B200s, B350CHWs and B360s, delivering aeromedical retrieval and primary healthcare services across Queensland.
The Opportunity
Based in Mount Isa, this full-time role is part of the RFDS Aircrew Mentoring Program (RAMP), designed to develop pilots through structured training and supervised operations. You'll begin flying King Air B200 aircraft on clinic operations and, as experience grows, progress towards Aeromedical Pilot duties.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate RFDS aircraft safely and in accordance with company procedures and aviation regulations
- Prepare aircraft for flight, including refuelling and oxygen replenishment
- Support healthcare teams with patient and equipment transfers
- Complete operational and regulatory documentation
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time; 1,000 hours in command; 500 hours PIC multi-engine
- 100 hours PIC at night; 100 hours instrument time
- Current Command Multi-Engine Instrument Rating with at least two subsequent IPCs
- Current Australian ATPL or CPL and Class 1 Aviation Medical
- Turbine and night flying experience
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid working rights
