The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join the MQ28 Supply Chain Management Team to provide technical supply chain expertise and planning in support of aircraft production. This position plays an essential role in effectively managing and resolving issues that prevent inventory and assets from being processed effectively throughout the supply chain and in the aircraft production environment, requiring close collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure supply chain compliance and part availability to support the production line.
Responsibilities
- Provide supply chain guidance to internal stakeholders
- Produce supply chain status reports for production readiness
- Collaborate with stakeholders for best solutions to minimise shortage impacts on production schedules
- Develop and maintain relationships of trust and honesty with internal customers and external vendors
- Provide support to production enquiries relating to stock availability, system processes and forecast requirements
- Perform production readiness reviews and formulate and implement action plans for production rate changes
- Forecast supply chain risks and impacts, and provide mitigation plans
- Identify and investigate items impacting aircraft production schedules
- Execute the procurement plan to support future production lot builds
- Identify and implement supply chain process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cost
Experience/Qualifications
- Sound understanding of Supply Chain methodology and processes
- Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Fundamentals
- Ability to work successfully unsupervised and in a team environment
- Demonstrated experience of Aeronautical product requirements
- Ability to identify, establish and promote supply process improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite
- Defence Industry experience highly regarded
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet NV1 security clearance requirements
