About the Role
We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Logistics Storeperson to join our team at LifeFlight's Heavy Engineering and Maintenance base at Archerfield. This is a full-time position working initially on a 5/2 roster, with shifts performed between 6:00am and 6:00pm (76 hours per fortnight); some weekends and on-call work may be required. The roster will move to a 7 on / 7 off roster in the future. You'll play a vital role in keeping our aviation operations running smoothly by managing LifeFlight Australia's Engineering Logistics, Hazardous Goods, and Quarantine Store, encompassing procuring parts and materials, inventory control, and fulfilling administrative needs.
Key Duties
- Inventory Management: oversee inventory within the logistics store, accurately tracking receipts and issues of parts and materials, maintaining optimal stock levels
- Store Upkeep: maintain the store ensuring parts and materials are stored appropriately and safely, complying with safety and regulatory standards
- Data Management: use the Inventory System to log all purchases, issues, and transfers with strong attention to detail
- Compliance: maintain strict adherence to Stores Procedures and logistics protocols
About You
- Previous experience in a logistics role, ideally within the aviation industry, or a strong background in procurement, inventory control and material handling
- Solid knowledge of incoming goods procedures, including purchase orders and receipting
- Experience in accurate picking and packing within tight timeframes
- Proven ability to manage stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy
- Experience managing international and domestic freight, including documentation and process requirements
- Confidence working with Hazardous Goods and understanding safe storage, packaging and dispatch protocols
- Ability to conduct effective, accurate stocktakes with knowledge of stock rotation and shelf-life parameters
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
- Current Forklift Licence essential
- Aviation Australia AA-43 Goods Receipt and Dispatch Course highly desirable
