About the Role

Permanent Full Time position based at our Sydney Distribution Centre, Mascot with a 7-day rotating shift roster. You will be paid under the Qantas Airways Limited (United Workers Union) Enterprise Agreement 2023 - Level 3.1.

As a Storeperson you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all-day operations to ensure all aircraft parts are controlled, packed and ready for delivery for servicing of aircraft. You'll be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating daily operations, and preparing parts for timely delivery to support aircraft servicing. You will be a team player who can assess and monitor inventory levels for distribution and be responsible for quality completion of all routine work activities within controlled areas of the operation. Your ability to operate a forklift confidently and safely will be essential, as this role involves frequent movement of heavy and oversized items within a busy warehouse setting. You'll also work with RF handheld devices and warehouse management systems to maintain precise stock control and meet operational KPIs.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Forklift Licence and forklift operating experience.
  • Current Drivers Licence (ability to drive manual preferred).
  • Experience in a distribution centre or large-scale warehouse environment.
  • RF Handheld scanning experience.
  • Proficiency in warehouse/freight management systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety and achieving customer service excellence through disciplined warehousing practices.
  • Understanding of logistics planning, workflows and operational control.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn logistics management programs.
  • Experience in logistics interactions with customers.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under supervision.
  • Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to work on a rotating shift roster.
  • Eligibility to qualify for and hold a Red ASIC identification card.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of airport operations.
