About the Role
If you enjoy hands-on work, being part of a strong team, and keeping operations moving behind the scenes, this could be the role for you. dnata is looking for motivated, reliable team players to join its Cargo team at its offsite facility in Banksmeadow (Botany Road), with free onsite parking and easy access to the M5. This is a great opportunity to step into the aviation logistics industry — no prior cargo experience required, just the right attitude. Full training and ongoing upskilling is provided.
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and accurately
- Handle import/export documentation and data entry
- Use cargo systems to process freight and track shipments
- Build and break down ULDs (Unit Load Devices)
- Ensure all cargo is handled in line with safety and operational procedures
Essential Requirements
- Australian/NZ citizenship, Australian permanent residency, or full unrestricted working rights in Australia with ongoing work rights
- Current driver's licence
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic–intermediate computer skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
- Flexible to work across a rotating roster
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical
- Ability to pass an Australian Federal Police security check
