The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (Avionics) to join the AH-64 Apache sustainment and support team, based in Townsville.
Program Overview
The AH-64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct aircraft and component maintenance within scope of authorisations
- Accurately complete technical documentation and reports
- Sign off completed work as authorised by the Responsible Manager and record in the Competency Log Book
- Assist the Team Leader in carrying out workplace assessments
- Contribute to team and organisational performance improvements
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) or equivalent trade qualification
- Apache familiarisation course (CoA provided)
- Sound knowledge of aviation QA procedures and maintenance/modification documentation
- Experience using Technical Manuals/Publications in repair of aeronautical product and systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and directives
- Working at Heights qualification
- Must be an Australian citizen to meet defence security requirements
