The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking Aircraft Life Support Technicians to join the AH-64 Apache sustainment and support team in Townsville, tasked with repair and modification of the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter ALSE suite. Roles are expected to commence in July 2026 and September 2026, based with the Army's 16 Aviation Support Battalion (16 ASB).
Program Overview
The AH-64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support.
Key Responsibilities
- Be competent in all aircraft life support processes including maintenance, modification and planning documentation
- Work within a dynamic team, responding effectively to changing requirements
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (or equivalent)
- Apache Aircraft Familiarisation (CoA provided)
- Minimum five years of military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience
- Must be an Australian citizen to meet defence security requirements
Desirable
- Experience maintaining and manufacturing soundproofing, soft furnishings and aircraft flooring
- Explosive ordnance experience
- Experience with ADF products and processes on larger aircraft or rotary-wing platforms
