About the Role
Alliance Airlines is expanding its Cloud and Infrastructure Team and is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support and maintain the IT Infrastructure across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of ICT Services, you will resolve complex issues, implement and test new solutions, and ensure the security and performance of the environment. You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, security, and resilience of critical systems while contributing to the architecture and delivery of new technology initiatives, spanning enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, identity and access management, networking, endpoint security, vulnerability management, monitoring and operational technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all core platforms and services within the environment such as Azure Cloud services, M365 services, EntraID
- Serve as the team subject matter expert (SME), with excellent knowledge on emerging trends and technology
- Implementation of new services, platforms and technologies
- Anticipate and manage service outages and major incidents (e.g. Cyber)
- Strengthen the security posture while adhering to patching compliance
- Ensure the existence of robust business continuity plans for disaster recovery and security
- Conduct regular audit of security tools and platforms to ensure solutions are adjusted, managed and properly licenced
- Create and provide IT Infrastructure reporting and metrics
- Ensure naming standards, appropriate documentation of full environment is provided and sustained
- Travel may be required to Alliance's bases and ports
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 3+ years as Senior System Engineer (Lvl-3)
- Solid track record of building, implementing, supporting Azure Cloud, On-Premise and Network environments
- PowerShell scripting and automation/orchestration experience
- Experience in supporting 24/7 operations and understanding business impact
Desirable
- Microsoft Certifications (Azure, M365, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP etc)
- Database administration and management of SQL
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or similar
- Relevant certifications in IT, ITIL, CompTIA etc
