The Opportunity
As an Aviation Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF), you'll be part of a highly trained team helping keep Alice Springs Airport safe and ready to respond when needed. No previous firefighting experience is required — Airservices provides comprehensive paid training, including a 15-week initial training program at its Melbourne facility, with salary and accommodation provided during training.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to aircraft incidents and airport emergencies
- Provide first aid and emergency assistance
- Maintain specialist firefighting vehicles and equipment
- Participate in ongoing operational and fitness training
- Support airport safety and emergency preparedness activities
Essential Requirements
- Ability to complete online testing, medical assessments and the Physical Aptitude Test (PAT)
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency
- Completion of secondary education (minimum Year 10)
- Current unrestricted driver's licence; ability to obtain a Heavy Rigid licence and Provide First Aid certificate before training
