About the Role
You'll also train pilots and aircrew to correctly use safety equipment, ensuring their safety during Air Force missions, operations and exercises. Paid from day one, with extensive on-the-job training provided.
Key Duties
- Maintain in-aircraft life support equipment such as life rafts, fire extinguishers, parachutes and thermal components
- Maintain aircrew-worn equipment including ballistic vests, oxygen masks, helmets, immersion suits, night vision goggles and anti-G suits
- Train aircrew on safety equipment, survival techniques and handling of explosive ordnance and firearms
Eligibility
- At least 17 years old at time of enlistment
- Australian Citizen
- Passed Year 10 English, Maths and Science
